A Viral Sensation

Since launching on YouTube in June 2020, the animated sing-along series Gracie’s Corner, created by father-daughter duo Jay and Graceyn Hollingsworth, has become a staple with young kids. Born out of a family’s desire to bring more diverse representation to children’s content, Gracie’s Corner has established itself as a powerhouse property, with nearly two in five U.S. parents with kids ages eight and under reporting that their children watch it.

Through its nursery rhymes and original songs, which incorporate reggae, hip-hop, and afro-beats, etc., Gracie’s Corner has amassed a dedicated fan base of more than 4.1 million social media followers. Over the past six months, the property’s total social media audience has grown by more than 31%, indicative of its tremendous appeal as more people discovered it.

In February 2023, Gracie’s Corner reached a milestone in surpassing 100 million monthly views on YouTube. It has since exceeded this and averaged more than 130 million monthly views over the past few months. Currently, the channel has a whopping 2.1 billion lifetime views.

Meanwhile, Gracie’s Corner continues to earn industry praise, having won a 2023 Webby Award for Video for Kids and Family for “The Phonics Song,” as well as earned nominations for last year’s Streamy Awards, NAACP Image Awards, and Kids’ Choice Awards. Gracie’s Corner recently received two nominations for the 2024 NAACP Image Awards.

With its surging popularity and acclaim, a live tour slated for later this year, a range of products in Walmart, and many more licensing deals on the horizon, the success of Gracie’s Corner is only just beginning.
